The new rug I ordered for Quinn's room has finally arrived and I am so excited to finally share her completed room update with you all! If you follow me on Instagram
, I've shown what I had completed so far, but I really feel like this rug from Rifle Paper Co. pulls it all together. With kitties, bunnies, leopards – and a Fox – this room is really everything a 7-year-old could ask for! Sal is in love with her space even if it's temporary - more on the move here
!
You might remember over the summer when I had sharedQuinn's original room update, where I had added the bead board for texture and a watercolor mural wallpaper. However, I still felt that her room was lacking the personality that would make it truly her's and give it that Silly Sally feel, you know? And due to the fires last summer, the wallpaper had started coming off by itself, so I decided to start fresh and it needed it. I drew a lot of inspiration fromthis rug! Including the paint color, which is Ben Moore Hunter Green. Hunter green is not in my typical color palette comfort zone - I just love my neutrals - but I wanted to go bold, and I knew if I didn't like it I could paint over it. Never be afraid of the paint! I painted the bead board and the wall behind the bed green and left the portion above the bead board and the other walls white, so still not too dark or too busy. I cleaned up her desk and added artwork above that and the bed to finish up the walls. And of course we kept thebunny lampon the nightstand!
Quinn's updated room is so fun and cozy, and is filled with as much personality as she is, and Fox has already made friends with all of the animals!
