I’ve said this before, but the power of paint is amazing! The way it can completely transform a room without any renovations blows my mind every time.
I get asked a lot about paint colors, specifically the names of the ones I’ve used in rooms or just generally like. So today I’m sharing some of my favorite, never fail paint colors. I’ve used these over and over, and they just always work!
Black
Behr Limousine Leather (the black house) - This is a true dark black.
Benjamin Moore Black Top (small guest house and the bookcase in the big house) - It has some green/blue undertones to it.
White
Benjamin Moore Simply White (Joie Inn and the Spanish house) - A warmer white. A little softer but not yellow or pink. It’s a great cozy white.
Dunn Edwards Cool December - A cool white. Great for cabinets and interior walls. Bright but cozy. It doesn’t have any crazy undertones to it, which I like since a lot of times cool whites can have a blue undertone.
Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace (current house interior) - A cool white with a slight blue undertone to it. Bright and beautiful.
Benjamin Moore Moosaka Trail (fireplace and bar in current house) - This is a tan white. It’s a great antique/vintage white. Adds warmth but it doesn’t have yellow or pink undertones.
Gray
Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter - A classic gray with a slight warmth to it which makes it a cozy gray. I like to take it 50% lighter for some spaces.
Green
Benjamin Moore October Mist (kitchen nook) - The perfect light sage green.
Blue
Benjamin Moore Quiet Moments (the current guest house interior) - Such a pretty, soft blue with green undertones.
Glidden Americana (old closet) - A nice blue with gray undertones.
Brown
Ben Moore Silhouette (my family room wall) - A good alternative to black. It’s a dark brown.
Portola Paints Piano Room (old house interior trim)
