I remember with Gabe my first babe, I was so lost on what to buy and how much to even purchase. Now about to have our 4th baby and taking on a more minimalist approach to our home, I’ve simplified what I’m brining in for sweet Foxi girl. I am keeping it fairly simple and always will have an open mind to add in more items if need be!
Here are some essentials that I’m using and so excited to try out! Everything itty bitty is just getting to me - those lil diapers? COME ON.
Just a reminder: every mom and home is different
. There is no right or wrong way, if having certain things for you baby are going to bring you peace of mind, that’s the way to go! These are just the things that I have found helpful in the past and / or that I’m excited to try this time around! Not having a baby in 7 + years, I have completely changed so many things about myself - in a good way! I think we are all ever evolving and so it's only natural to shift needs, which was inevitable with living in 180 square ft.
Newton mattress
- I want one for myself! It is incredibly comfy and Quinn has cuddled up in the crib more times than I can count - so kid tested! Big thumbs up! Plus it's hypoallergenic and WASHABLE - completely washable and breathable so very safe even if little Foxi rolls over, we won't have to worry. They are offering $50 off right now AND free shipping.
Pacis:
Ryan and Rose - the most precious little pretty pacis!
Diapers:
I’m a fan of pampers swaddles for newborn. After that I’m just as happy with Costco or Target brand - they hold all they need to, if you know what I'm sayin'!
Bottles:
Always been a fan of Playtex drop ins. This time around I’ll be gonna try using glass bottles
Sling:
WildBird - looks way more complicated that it is - and holds the babe SO WELL! Give me those snuggs!
And I love to shop small for clothes, here are some of my faves:
@pehr
baby baskets, swaddles, onsies
And for the basics:
Zara baby
Target
Old navy
Alright Baby Foxi! We are so ready for you!!
