Summer Cocktails
I love a good margarita, and Dino on the grill, and Summer, and family time - so I am sharing our go-to margarita and Dino's sister Lynne's 'Juicey'. Both are equally refreshing and the perfect addition to any Summer night!
Mr. Gray's Margarita
We can't give complete credit to Dino for this one - James [ @jamesforrestgray ] of @sophiejameswine made these for us when we were over one time and we were hooked.
2 parts tequila
1 part grand marnier
1/4 lime juice
Top with soda water
And of course, any Summer night is made better with Lynne's signature drink. Plus she shares how to make it 'healthy', lol.
Lynne's 'Juicie'
1-2 cups frozen/fresh berries 16 oz tequila 2 limes lemonade (regular, berry, or sparkling) kombucha (your favorite) sparkling water (I love Rasberry/Lime Spindrft) Agave (if you like a sweeter drink) Ice More berries, lime wedges for serving
Combine 1-2 cups of frozen or fresh berries with tequila. Squeeze limes into mixture. Toss them in and muddle. I let this sit for hours if possible in the refrigerator, or even overnight.
When ready to serve, take a pitcher of ice mix tequila mixture with lemonade, kombucha and/or sparkling water, agave if you like. The amount of mixers depends on how strong or sweet you prefer. Serve over ice and more berries, fresh lime wedges.
Notes from Lynne: Here's the general idea. As you can see I just kinda play with it depending on if I want it "healthy" (I'd use only kombucha and sparkling water to tequila, call that Kombucharita). If it's for a bigger crowd, I sweeten it up a bit, with lemonade and agave.
