Nantucket...a little slice of untouched old Americana out in the middle of the ocean. So glad we got to spend a week on this darling island!
We flew into Boston airport + took an Uber to Hyannis. From there we hoped on our pre-booked speed ferry at Steamship Authority. Which was so fun and it was a gorgeous day!
We stayed at MaryJo + Bryce's Port2palm cute little home tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but also just a 5-10 min drive to most everything. The house was so stinking cute with all white wood floors, spacious bright rooms and a bunk room for 6 kiddos on the top floor. Just perfect! So charming!
Here are some of my favorite things we did + my favorite places to eat! Because you know that’s why we vacation in the first place... the food! Every morning we went to The Corner Table. It was the best Oat milk flat white I’d had in a while! You can also grab food to go there if you’re looking to picnic on the beach.
Next, right around the corner is,Born and Bread. Take your coffee and wait in line for the delicious Cruffin! The Nutella one is so good and still melting if you get there right when they open at 8! The ham and cheese Cruffin was Dinos favorite! Provisionsfor sandwiches to go was a must! We went a few times and brought them to the beach with us!The beach at Jetties Beach was so fun for the kids. They looked for hermit crabs and shells for hours! The tide was out so they could go out far and had a blast! Lola burgerwas so delicious! The truffle fries are a must! Super casual but great service! We LOVED Cisco Brewers. The coolest vibe with live music and yummy food trucks. I had the best clam chowder + dumplings there! Oh and the pizza... actually all the food we got was so good! Quinn danced with daddy and Fox and definitely drew a crowd lol. Shopping atBarnabys Toy and Art Shackwas Quinn’s favorite. We let each kid pick out a souvenir!
Milly And Gracewas a cute shop for women’s goodies. I got some really pretty handmade earrings that are so fun! Dawnwas another favorite women’s shop. More clothes and hats, pricey... but very cute! We got sweatshirts made atBro Denimdowntown... a fun shop for Nantucket sweatshirts that you can get patches embroidered on to. The Bluff walk at Sconsetwas a major must! Walk along the beach and also in people’s backyards. Yes that’s right. It’s a public trail that takes you along a beautiful path with lots to look out! If you like peoples houses... that’s a fun walk! While you’re over there stop bySconset Marketand grab some ice cream, a fresh baked goodie or my favorite the homemade corn salad to go! You can eat it out on the picnic tables. The Juice Barin town was perfect for some fresh squeezed watermelon juice or a homemade ice cream.
We saw some light houses, ate a bunch, beached it up and basically just enjoyed walking around the town everyday. With cobbled roads and gorgeous architecture, there was plenty to look at and take in! Nantucket was an amazing trip and we’re so thankful we could add it to our list of experiences!
