Candles are here! I worked with
Hazel Candle Co
. to create the 'Sunkissed' candle that I am SO excited to share with you! The smell is SO good, not overpowering but still like you lit a candle. It's the perfect blend of beachy, fresh, clean coziness. That's a thing, right?
And! It's 100% soy and all scented with essential oils so you're not breathing in anything you don't want to breathe in.
I have been developing this candle for quite some time, well before the move even and it was a P R O C E S S ! I wanted it to be just perfect. I am sharing a little bit of what it all looked like and just how amazing
@hazelcandleco
was through each step!
So, first you head into their HQ and you smell each and every single different essential oil and determine what you love, like and reallllly don't like. And this is all to combine them to create your own scent. Like I said, a process. A super fun, smelly process.
It was so cool to see them all lined out on butcher paper with all the names written in front of it - I instantly knew I wanted to have a smell that was just very summery and fresh but also cozy because there’s something about a candle that always makes me feel cozy. It's the perfect way to set a mood and unwind.
From here, they blend and sample, re-blend and sample until the scent is just right. We had 4 we were deciding on, but each time I lit this one, it was just 'it', you know?
Then the super fun part came - the packing and labeling selection. The whole time I knew I wanted a jar and lid like this - it's elevated but not stodgy and it will fit perfectly in every home. The label also went through a few design changes, logo placement, font selection - but when we decided on this look, it was an ideal depiction of both
Arrows and Bow
and

. They are both part of me, and I wanted to reflect that.
Candles are actually really meaningful to both Dino and I. When we were first dating, one of his favorite things that I did was light a candle in our house - it was a routine we became so into it! It was an end to the workday, a time to relax and reset. So I always try to have one lit as a gesture of coming together.
