kick your socks off cowboy cookies

I added the “kick your socks off”… because these are just NO joke. I know everyone says they have the best chocolate chip cookie recipe, but these are the real deal. They are my go-to cookies for births, sickness, parties, new neighbors, peace offerings, and of course just good old fashion stuff your face sweetness. img_1821

Here is the EASIEST recipe:

-Melt 1 stick butter completely in microwave (usually 1 min)

-Mix in 1/2 cup brown and 1/2 cup white sugar, to your melted butter, set aside.

-In separate bowl, mix 1 cup flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/4 baking powder, 1/4 salt

-Add butter mixture to flour mixture, stir. Add 1 egg. Stir.

-Add 1 cup rolled oats (not steel cut)

-Add 1/2 cup-1 cup chocolate chips (#noraisinsallowed If you decide to add raisins, they aren’t my cookies. hehe.)

Bake for 15 min, do not brown.

DONE AND ENJOY! And then send me a message and tell me how many you ate at once! img_1814

  1. Ok literally HAD to come back! I made these cookies on saturday! I had everything except the oats (totally forgot at the store) but I made the cookies anyways and they were still amazing! We made friendship cookies with them (where you get them still hot from the oven and dollop ice cream on top so it starts to melt a little bit). Thank you for sharing! This is so my go to now!
